Bow Lane comprises a compact and contemporary 6-storey office block on an infill site in Dublin’s inner city. The simple yet elegantly proportioned southern façade of the 5 storeys of offices is fully-glazed with the outer layer of the double-skinned façade extending vertically to form the full-height balustrading for the roof garden. A sophisticated façade system is proposed to provide natural ventilation with optimal microclimate conditions for a comfortable office-working environment. The outer skin of the external envelope has been patterned with delicate white glass printing which contrasts with the solidity of the dark, openable timber panels of the inner skin. Integrated light fabric blinds offer a further level of flexibility in climate control.
