MDO's Journey to Achieving ISO 19650 Certification

A clear vision from the practice management team about the future of the industry and a commitment to delivering better service is the crucial first step towards achieving ISO 19650 certification. At MDO, this vision has led to significant investments in knowledge, training, and software over the past few years.

Achieving ISO 19650 certification involves understanding the standard, conducting a gap analysis, planning, improving processes, documenting procedures, implementing changes, auditing internally, undergoing the certification audit, addressing any non-conformities, and maintaining ongoing compliance. This journey required commitment and collaboration across the MDO team. To involve all staff in the process and enhance overall knowledge, we organized a series of internal presentations, audits, training sessions, and brainstorming meetings.

Achieving ISO 19650 certification from the National Standards Authority of Ireland (NSAI) involves several key steps. Here's an overview of the process:

UNDERSTANDING THE REQUIREMENTS

The MDO BIM team have concentrated on managing information throughout the entire lifecycle of the process, as outlined in the ISO 19650 series and ensured that key staff members understand the requirements and principles of ISO 19650.

INTERNAL ASSESSMENT
