SUSTAINABILITY
At MDO we have a collective ambition to become cleaner, greener and more sustainable with each project.
We promote the integration of sustainability principles into our design at the outset encouraging the entire construction team to work together to create environmentally conscious buildings. We have demonstrated that using low-cost passive design techniques, design excellence and value can be achieved.
Our business is being driven by our 10 member strong sustainability taskforce and we are all the better for it.
By early 2022, we aim to have a number of our team certified LEED Green Associates. The intention is to equip at least one member in each of our project teams with the skills and knowledge to build sustainability into our projects, from the ground up and from day one. We have also committed to training our team members to become WELL Associate Practitioners, Passive House Designers and more.
Within the next couple of years, we intend to provide the full gamut of sustainability services – but more importantly the principles of these will be pervaded into all of our work.
Sustainability is not an extra, a bolt on or an addition – but a core fundamental in the way we work, and the way we deliver buildings of design and sustainability excellence.
