David O'Connell

Director

David O'Connell brings over 25 years of experience to MDO Architects, which he co-founded in 2004.

His expertise spans residential and commercial projects in Ireland and internationally. As director, David leads large residential developments and city-centre refurbishments.

He has advanced IT, BIM, Revit, and network systems within the practice. He chairs the CIC BIM Subcommittee and serves on the RIAI BIM Subcommittee and National BIM Council.

Under his leadership, the practice achieved NSAI ISO19650 certification, affirming compliance with global BIM standards and ensuring the highest quality delivery for clients.
